This tour of the Touraine makes you discover the castles and secret countryside dear to Honoré de Balzac, one of our most famous French writers.

The flight begins by passing over Indre river valley.
After the Longue Plaine, you will see the Vonnes and Valesne castles Balzac wrote about in “A Lily of the Valley”, and then the Saché castle, where the writer sought inspiration far from Paris in the 1830s.
Many of his most famous œuvres were written in these valleys.
The Azay, Islette, Beaulieu and Cheillé castles are next, before reaching the village of Bréhémont and its bargemen on the banks of the Loire.
We then fly along the Loire, and the Rigny-Ussé castle which Charles Perrault would have taken as a starting point for his fable, “Sleeping Beauty”.
We then turn towards Chinon, a citadel town with vineyards and the renowned Château la Grille. On the return loop, we fly over the Vienne valley, the Bretignolles castle, the medieval Riveau castle, and Crissay-sur-Manse, one of the most beautiful villages in France. This unique hour-long trip is packed with the richest jewels of the Loire west of Tours.
